Just to refresh your memory, in March Henrik Fisker presented the Thunderbolt along with Galpin dealership. This car had the Aston Martin Vanquish as a base, but had a completely redesigned bodywork of carbon fiber. Under the hood, the V12 was taken from the Vanquish.
Henrik Fisker was planning his new creation to sell at a price of about $ 400,000 through the dealer organization of Galpin.
Aston Martin started a lawsuit on March 2 against his former chief designer. According to the brand Henrik Fisker used unlawfully Aston Martin logos on his creation. The brand had not consented namely there.
Henrik Fisker then offered to bring the car without the Aston Martin logo on the market, but the brand did not agree. Aston Martin explained that the damage had been done: Fisker had the logos after all, used to generate additional publicity for his new car.
Eventually Henrik Fisker apparently had little confidence in the outcome of the lawsuit, as Automotive News reports that he has abandoned the project Thunderbolt.
Remarkably enough, Fisker with Galpin a similar project based on the new Mustang presented without Ford has filed a lawsuit against them.
